What does "Sealing,"
mean?
It means using select materials to seal openings around
your home's exterior. Openings the thickness of a credit card may
provide access for scorpions or other pest to enter. These openings
also provide places for pests to hide and breed. On stucco homes,
the main area to seal is at the base of the home, where the
foundation and stucco edge meet. Use a mirror and take a look at
the open seam, you'd be surprised at what you find! Other areas of
focus are around utility boxes; a/c chases, exterior vents, and
interior exhaust fans. Door openings are generally not fitted
properly to keep pest out. We make the necessary adjustments here
as well. We will be focusing on any
area that might lead to the entry of a scorpion to your
home.
Why is it necessary?
In this day and age, we all want fewer toxins in our
environment. Sealing out pest mechanically reduces the need for
frequent pesticide applications. Like inside the home where you
live.
Do I still need a pest
control service?
Yes, particularly in areas of high scorpion occurrence. Our
suggestion is every month service with the option to switch to
treatments every other month when the population of scorpions
and other pest are diminished.
